Does this work?

If you start it on a Hatchling, will it keep the turtle looking bright and colorful?

It sounds like adding food coloring. Are you sure it's safe?

Well nature zone is a great company. And it says it helps color by adding vitamins and minerals that help pigmentation absorb.

But I don't know.

davidthegreat: I personally wouldn't use the stuff - you can save money by just feeding them a proper diet. They'll get everything they need from that to maintain their shell's health and lustre. Unfortunately, a RES's shell does turn darker as they get older - thats just the way nature works. In my opinion, putting stuff like that on your RES's shell would be like bleaching your skin to try and lighten it's colour.

Trust me, you don't want the MJ look :)
