I would get the suction cup option personally, I have 1/2in thick glass though so... If you had a smaller tank or thin acrylic and it floats as well seems like a good product.

Yes, I do. I bought one few weeks ago and it looks really nice and natural. It floats on the surface and you use the magnet to secure it in place. There is one part that submerge into the water. I stack up some stones at the corner so my terrapin can climb on it very easily. My terrapin struggled to get on it when I first got it. He is fine now and he climbs on it from both way.
The only down side is you can only place it at the left hand side of the tank(when you stand in front of it). Otherwise you will see the magnet sitting outside there.
