HELP ME!!!! HOW DO I USE THIS AND CAN I USE IT !!!

ok so i bought an awesome set up from the thrift store for my turtle who is long over due for a big tank the tank came with a magnum 250h filter i have never used a filter that looks this way and i cant find any info on it online. i just bought this like 5 min ago and still sorting out all the stuff it came with can any one help me please !!!!!!! i just need some infor on this filter thanks any info would be helpful !!!!!! GRACIAS!!!!!!!

The magnum is a Marinland product and pumps 250 gph. You should have a pump that puts our at least 5x the volume of water that is in you tank. If you outfit the filter media properly it should be ok if it is sized properly.

It's not that crappy....Should be ok for a 50 gal tank and 1 turtle.

mdg - The gph of the filter pump is minimul, however, if all else is working it could do the job. If you are determined to get anothe one I would suggest at least a 350 gph. --

question : it has an undergravel filter to it i dont use gravle i use sand could i switch to large stones to make this work or even sand and could this filter work without the undergravel filter conection ?> this filter has so many parts im scared to put it together!!!!
