Does anyone use the
Rondomatic Automatic Feeder ? The reason I ask is because sometimes I forget to feed Niko or get home late and end up feeding him late. So heres my question does anyone use this and if so how well does it work with say Reptomin sticks or Mazouri pellets ? My main concern isnt that it wont work but that the cells might be small in relation to the size of the Reptomin sticks and Mazouri pellets.

Far as I know, the major complaint about automatic feeders is that it feeds TOO much. The best thing to try is to buy it and try it out while you are home and can watch it. Make sure it is distributing the correct amount (so you don't end up with pyramiding). The Reptomin sticks can be broken in half if needed.

See thats the thing, this one cant feed to much because it has 28 cells that you fill with the days food and depending on the cycle one has set it can feed as much as once or even five times a day. So assuming your cycles are set to once a day it would drops a days worth of food from one cell.

That looks pretty handy...
Might come in good use if you're away for a bit!
I like hand-feeding Timo though, so have never wanted to use an auto-feeder.

I like hand feeding to but as of late Ive been gone / out late more and more so I need some sort of alternative to missing a feeding even though yes its ok to do once n a while even though you shouldnt. Sometimes as shameful as it is I sometimes forget to feed even when I am home which is rarer than me missing a feeding because I'm gone or get home after lights out.

It's so much easier just to stock the tank with minnows when you are going to be out of the house for awhile.

That's a good looking feeder! I would say give it a try, worst case it doesn't work. And if it works well, maybe you can write a good review and we can make it a sticky.

I didnt even think we made stickies here on individual products. But ya. worst case is that it doesnt work. Cant do anything before the 24th though which is when my UC payment comes in.

I purchased this feeder back in July even though it was a bit pricey but I didn't want to worry about my turtles being overfed in my absence (I travel quite a bit for work.) It works wonderfully and I can customize each meal. I feed my turtles Reptomin plus some of those little shrimps as a treat (once a week.)
It's very quiet though and when I started using it, I was concerned it wasn't on at all. So the night before, I would fill up the little trays leaving one or two empty and make sure the trays rotated before leaving.
