can anyone recommend a good filter for a tank thats 28-30gallons. the filter i have no is not doign as nice of a job as id like
65 Gallon
-1 RES (Myrtle)
-1 Pleco (unnamed)
-1 four lined pimelodus catfish (unnamed)
-1 shubunkin (unnamed)
29 Gallon Planted Tank
-3 cory cats
-# guppies!

r-24 I have a 29 with a Marineland 350 magnum filter. This is over the 5x rule but it does a very good job. There is a bit of a swirl in the water from the discharge hose but that is easy to control. You just have to be careful with the suction end as it can be harmful the your turtle. Good Luck.

my turtle is only like 2" so i dont think i should use that if its that powerful

r-24 You may be correct. My two yellow bellies started out at 2" and did ok. Most people short themselves on filters and pay for it dearly later. Good Luck!
