Hello everyone!

I am new to this forum and I am hoping to get some advice for my Guppie so I can give him the best care I can.

To my understanding, a mercury vapor bulb is the best kind of light you can buy for your turtle because of the UVA, UVB, and heat all in one. However, the internet has not provided decent product names and it is difficult to determine what would be the best choice with all the brands available. I do not want to get something that will hurt his eyes and make them swell.

If I may ask, what is the best brand name mercury vapor light I can buy? Price is not an issue, and where may I find it? Right now I use the Repti Glo 5.0 UVB light, and the Zoo Med 75w UVA light. However, I feel like they are not working. His shell is not at it's best and his (least I think it is a boy) skin could be much brighter.

Please help and thank you for your advice :)

^^^Mega-Ray bulbs are the best in my opinion. I use the 100-watt self-ballasted bulb in my setup.

The Mega-Ray and T-Rex Active UVHeat bulbs are considered to be the best. They're made by the same company.
