I've had my XP4 for a year now with a 100 gallon tank. Lately, it has not been filtering as it should. The output has not been as strong and I've been forced to clean it every week. However, when I go to clean it, the filter media is hardly soiled at all. And today, I went to clean it again and noticed a large puddle in front of the filter. Has anyone experienced this, or have any suggestions? Thanks!

Well I just bought a XP3 but haven't set it up. But I do have a fluval 404 and the spilling is usually involved when something is jamming the filter. Clean the hoses, that might be the problem. The other thing could be that the filter is just dying.

Might be that the seal is not tight or is defective.

I agree with Linus, have you cleaned the hoses? Also, are the seals ok? In other words, is it closing properly?
