I was already late picking my GF up but a block away from my house I double took I saw 2 large tanks on the curb. I quickly pulled over and somehow muscled the 55 gallon into my back seat.

After I dropped my GF off, I picked up my strength inclined friend and went home to drop off the 55G. Luckily my next door neighbor was outfront who has a Honda Element and he drove down the block to help us get the larger tank. Even with his seats down we couldn't fit the tank in. We got it half way in and we coasted down the street, my friend and I behind holding the tank halfway in the car. Once we got it home, we muscled it in the back and then it started raining.

I never knew how incredibly heavy a 120 G tank was. My god, the thing musta weighed at least 300 lbs!

Anyway, so now I have 2 gigantic, well 4 large tanks.

They both most likely hold water but I'm probably not going to risk that and put some reptiles in the small one.

I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with the large one, anyone want a 120G? lol

I'm still trying to convince my parents, I'm a college student, so they keep saying, "when you have your place...."

My first tank is a 50 G, got it for $30 at a garage sale, guy said it was a 30, i knew better. 48 X 15.5 X 16

My second tank I had to buy in a rush because I had to dry dock a turtle, it's a 40. I got it for $125. 36 X 15.5 X 17.25

The new ones, The 55G and the 120.

The 55 G is tall and the 120 is 72 X 18 X 22.

Plus I have a 10G and a 125 G pond.

It's a little wider than standard tanks and the framing and stand are made out of steel.

did you ever consider aluminum for the frame? it's roughly the same color, especially when both are brushed, but it's much less dense (lighter) and still strong enough.

I don't think they had angle aluminum where we bought the steel.
