so, i've had my fluval fx5 almost a year now.

i had a filter bag full of small media..
and over time it got a hole in it..so the media got into the filter.

the motor stopped running all together...

is there anything i can do to fix it?

You have to try and take that all apart and get the gravel out. You might have burned the motor out and have to replace it but clean the housing where the motor is to make sure no gravel is just in there from stopping it from moving.

if it does come down to a need to replace the motor or impeller, they come off and are sold separately so you won't have to buy a whole new filter.
