What does everyone think about the Reptomin 3 in 1 slects a food jar. It brings baby shrimp, mini krill, and two 1/4 jars of mini sticks. Each part is divided into fourths to separate each food. Does it sound good? I just bought a jar and I wana know what others who have bought it think about it. My turts seem to love it and it brings a great deal of nutrition with it.

Since the krill/shrimp should be very limited treats, I'd avoid it. I can't remember the last time I offered any of that kind of treat.

I saw this at the grocery store. I thought it would be pretty good since it was cheap but then I realized all the treats in it and decided against it. I have loads of food and treats which will last me a long time since I realized their diet was different than I expected. I have two bottles of food, a jar of krill, a package of turtle medley, some turtle yummies and cuttlebone.

I read somewhere that something in shrimp can cause shell rot, i dont remember what or where I read that though..hmm, what do you guys think? Is it true? :?

I ocassionaly feed my guys shrimps every now and then, but not alot. I swear though, they would do a back flip and learn to speak for one of those things

I agree. The first time I fed my turtle a baby shrimp he would follow it around the tank and jump out of the water for one. I found it so amusing. I wanted to feed them to him everyday but that would be bad. Now they will go crazy for anything!

I think only live shrimp would cause shell rot.

freeze-dried wouldn't, would it?

Foods like live prawns, crayfish, etc. can contain a bacteria which has been implicated in shell rot. Processed shrimp wouldn't be a worry, but feeding it frequently, since it high protein, would be a worry.

The Reptomin 3 in 1 to me isn't worth it because you're only getting some Reptomin with two other high protein foods. I'd rather spend my money on getting the food that of the three would be the best (the Reptomin).
