Feeding and Nutrition :: Too much lettuce?

I remember reading on here a while back that basically you can not overfeed with lettuce. Is that true? I hope si because my turtle will eat tons of it. I feed him a lot lettuce everyday except for Wed & Sat when he gets pellets. He gets a little carrot too every couple of weeks. I still worry that he is overweight but I'm not sure. He was underfed by the previous owner and his growth was stunted. He has grown a lot but I think he should be even bigger.

He looks good to me. You can overfeed lettuce. If the poop is flakey, he's eating too much. I might feed him 3 times a week rather than 2 tho. No real reason behind that but I never go lower than 3 days a week.
