My turtles eats their own drops!! is this a normal thing? will that harm them? is there anyway or trick i could do to stop such a nasty habit? i try to scoope it out of the tank whenever i can, and i also feed them in a separeted container, wait until they do their thing. but they always do something extra hours later in their tank. Any advice or ideas? :?:

It's completely normal for them to eat their own poop. Infact im pretty sure they do it out of boredom. The only way i'd say to do it is just stick with a fish net and fish it out.

My advise would be - don't look! All the turtles do it. It's not pretty but it's normal. Feeding in the separate container helps but it's not sure thing. I have found that since Spot has grown up he either isn't doing it any more or I haven't seen him. I use Turtle Clean in the tank which causes the poop to break down faster, and I've got some big minnows in there that help with cleanup. Maybe that's why I haven't noticed Spot indulging lately.
