You're right turtledudee, milfoil is a big problem... So I thought I'd help get rid of some of it, one leaf at a time!
Yes, I was being wary too, which is why I thought I'd see if anyone else on here has tried it. The beach is at least 10km downstream of any human activity, so any pesticide stuff would be minimal, if that's what you were thinking.
Beaver Fever was a problem a few years ago, but I don't know if that affects turtles
I was looking on ebay the other day and found a plant seller that suggested soaking the plants in a mild bleach solution for 5 mins or so, then rinsing the plants off... That would take care of any biological nasties, but has anyone tryed something like this with any other aquatic plants?
