Okay, so Karlyn LOVES the cantaloupe. She hates all other fruit, I finally found something she loves! When she sees my boyfriend go to the fridge, she gets REALLY excited now and then dive bombs at the cantaloupe. I've been giving her small pieces, a couple yesterday and one today. I don't know if it is a rare treat, like once a month, or if it can be given once a week, or a little piece a day. I just know the mooch lovvvvvvvvvves it and we now have a turtle with a sweet "tooth"! lol... 8)

LOL!!! I know that SO well, Hoooneylynn!

Cantaloupe (and other fruit) has a lot of sugar in it, and should be given only once/monthly.

BUT having said that, since Sheba was with me for 16 yrs with NO fruit at all, occasionally I give her a small bite of fruit (like a blueberry or a small piece of cantaloupe) once a day for about 4 days at a time, just because the fruit is tasty, fresh, & in-season.....she LOVES, loves, LOVES it. I have to be careful to get my fingers out of the way, LOL!

It has gotten so bad that I can't walk past her tank with a piece of fruit in my hand without her causing a huge ruckus!!! :)
