I have 4 turtles that are approx 5-6 months old. They are currently on pellets which they are tired of, frozen blood worms and frozen aquatic trulte diet. I have boght them feeder guppies and all they did was reproduce and my turtles never ate them. Any help on their eating habits would be greatly appreciated. I did try for weeks to get them to eat their fresh veggies and they would not. The aquatic diet has collards and many other veggies in it.

What size are your turtles? They may be small and it might be kind of hard for them to catch the guppies, leave them there and eventually they'll snap them up.

When you tried to get them to eat fresh veggies did you try withholding the pellets and other proteins? When they get hungry they'll eventually learn to eat them.

At that age, they might enjoy nibbiling on some anachris (an aquatic plant). It's a good way to get hatchings nibbling on vegetation.

Where do you buy anarchis? How long should you suspend their other foods before feeding them again?

You can buy anacharis in a pet store that sells fish and aquarium plants. You can also buy it online.

As for suspending their food, they can go a few days without food but if they are really tiny they may not be interested in plants yet. You can give it a try.. give them plants/veggies and not feed them pellets for a day or 2. As long as they are otherwise healthy
