I can't remember anyone ever using it. It has 2X more phosphorous than calcium, so I would avoid it.

Asparagus is in the same family as broccoli/cauliflower. They tell you on this site to avoid broccoli & cauliflower, so I would avoid asparagus as well.

On most charts, asparagus has a low Ca/Phos ratio (one article, however, says it has an adequate balance), but so do some of the other foods that are suggested as being good to give (although they usually have positives to equal that out as well).
I've never tried to feed it to my turtles (I don't really like it and rarely buy it), and it doesn't appear to have a noticeable odor which would attract them. For a healthy turtle that has an otherwise varied and balanced diet, I don't think a piece or two occasionally would hurt. It shouldn't be a regular part of the diet. If you give some, balance out that lack of calcium with something that does have calcium (a little extra cuttlebone, for example). On the whole, though, it's much better to emphasize leafy greens.
