I'm guessing that Boston lettuce is ok. It is a good source of K+ for humans, and nutritionally resembles green leaf, which is good for turtles.

It's fine and you could just alternate it with other types for variety. Red-leaf is also good.

Variety is key to any diet. It's ok to feed red leaf lettuce too, but it shouldn't be the only thing you feed. Change it up! You might like pizza, but I'm sure you don't want to eat it every day for the rest of your life.

Definately if Zeke has his choice he would live off of feeder fish, shrimp, pellets, and all the 'treat' parts of his diet....not the lettuce....that's usually his LAST resort. I wish I could get him to eat it more. Carrots he will eat everything I stick in his tank....but they aren't good for his entire diet. Just like a little kid...or a husband for that matter....needs some direction as to a balanced diet :-)
