So, i was just curious, anyone feed their turtles twice a day? because i do and they seem happy and content. no pyramiding, and no signs of chub. ive had my turtles for 2 months now, and everything seems fine.

I feed only once a day but you can feed twice a day - as long as you are only feeding him the amount that would fit in his head if it were hollow, and divide that into two feedings.

It also depends on what you are feeding him.

Offer a leaf of romaine or red leaf lettuce, or a dandelion leaf every day also. Remove uneaten portions when you replace with fresh one every day. You can experiment with other veggies from the sticky list. As stated by CountryGirl68, divide the pellets in half for twice a day feeding.

as far as vegies go, my turtles deny it, ive tried everything. the tuna water, tough love and force feeding(just a joke). so i stick to pellets and the eventual feeder fish and mealworms.

Keep offering veggies as they grow. Young turtles are more carnivorous but will grow to eat veggies. It just takes some time and patience
The problem with feeding twice a day is that they can get overfed.. as others have said, make sure you're only feeding them the amount that can fit in their head if hollowed out.. divide it by 2 and feed that amount twice daily
