its migratory season for the lady bugsd.. and it seem they are lodging at my house for the winter. but THEY ARE VERY WHERE... the even come in through the vents!!!! i was wondering... are lady bugs safe for turtles to eat.. cause if they are... i see an all you can eat buffet comming for paco.

o i almost forgot is it ok to feed turtles cabbage?

And as for the lady bugs Its never a good idea to feed your res anything "from the wild" Because you don't know where its been, or what it has landed on, or what it has eating ect ect. Don't worry if a few get stuck in his tank and eating, but don't catch them just for him.

Generally, in the wild, bugs and some other animals (frogs for example) are brightly colored to warn predators that they are poisonus or they have a really bad taste. I'd avoid feeding them ladybugs because of this.

also, avoid the cabbage

There's a bug that looks very much like a ladybug, but is really an invasive but from Asia...

If they have a bad smell when crushed, your turtles probably won't be interested in them (and they are likely not good for your turtles). I've found a few floating in one of my tanks and they were just ignored by the painteds. There are more nutritious foods to feed your turtle.
