is it ok to give flys to my RES ?

is it ok to give frut flys to my RES caze when ever flys come in the house from outside my RES see them out side of the tank and starts snaping at them and falowes themlike he is trying to eat them and he wount eat his pebles so do i go by it fish or what my RES is onley 1 inch longand my other RES dose not do that so what is going on :?:

I wouldn't give anything to your turtle that is "wild caught" flies, worms etc because you don't know where they've been and what diseases they could be carrying.

that is what i thot but dose he want to eat them is thst why he is snaping at them ? :roll:

He probably does want to eat them. Mine have eaten moths that fell into the tank.

is it ok or should i buy them feeder fish caz he will not eat his pelets and it haz been 3 days sence i got him and he has not eatn any thing that i know of they toled me to feed them one a week but i dont i feed them every day is that ok

once a week is not enough for a small turtle. A small amount every day is best. He won't eat until he gets used to his new home. Give him some time. Offer food daily but don't pick him up or mess with anything in the tank until he starts eating. Even then, minimal handling is best.
