Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

We have a huge amount of garden snails and slugs in our yard and it would be great if I could dispose of them via turtle dindin.

If no pesticides are present, okay to do??

Snails might be fine, but I'm not sure about the slugs. With the snails they'll be getting a calcium source from the shells.

No, they will do the crushing. If they are bigger than the mouth of your turtle, be prepared to see it done in small chunks!

Well, since my turts are pretty dang little - hatchlings more or less - I'll wait until they get bigger.

I'm sure there are plenty of other options for protein. I just like the idea of getting rid of our garden pests!

I recently posted in other topics - I'm BG & LG's mommy... among many others (animals that is).

Thanks again. You all have been SO patient, and SO helpful. Even though you've probably answered the same questions time and time again, the patience and sincerity is really appreciated.

Thank you,

TT
