Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

I have never feed our two turtles anything but their pellets. Want to introduce fruits, veggies, and live feeder fish like minnows. How should I introduce them to the turtles? Do I just toss them into the tank? The minnows obviously will be tossed in. Or is there a way to suction cup these (fruits and veggies) to the inside of the tank? I did make a feeding ring so their pellets don’t go all over the tank during feeding.

Thelma and Louise are about 2.5”-3” now.
Currently they have been eating ZooMed pellets since forever. Was looking at switching it to Omega One sticks. Since we are nearing the end of the container.

You can skip live feeders as part of the diet. As for veggies, start with small amounts and let them get used to it. A "veggie clip" (found at the fish section in a pet store) works too if the turtles are not showing any interest. Good luck!

Thank you. I will look into a veggie clip or diy one.
