I'm one of those guy's that keep rosy reds and ghost shrimp in the tank. Normally they don't last long , just a few. I breed my own in separate tank , healthier than store feeders . Just saw a very young shrimp 1/3 the size of a turtle stick that Chopsley didn't see grab it swimming off. But then Chopsley saw it direct path to it and one bite stick and shrimp gone ! That shrimp thought it had a good meal but was the good meal.

Wow that is funny! Breeding ghost shrimp, that sounds like fun. Might entice me to get a small tank for that purpose....

The only real trick is to get enough females , if you try , take you time picking them out most females you will see some eggs already in them.
