Right now I have a fish aquarium that is being overrun by tiny snails. I read that sliders can eat them. Is this true? Is it safe to take snails out of fish tank and put in turtle tank?

For the most part it's true. What kind of snails are they?

I don't know what kind of snails they are. They are very tiny and I haven't been able to get rid of them in fish tank. From what I have been told, the eggs are microscopic. The tank and fish are rescued and the snails have been there since I got it.

Eggs are nearly translucent and very sticky. How big have they gotten?

The biggest ones are about half the size of a small pea.

That's pretty small, is there enough for them to eat?

My turtle has eaten them with no issues.

I have snails in my filter. They got started by myself introducing them into the tank. Wild ones from a river behind my home. My res loves snails. They apparently don't last long in the tank because I never see them :-)
