yeah she just kept munching away at it and ate a good portion of it. Tomorrow ill take her to bask outside.

My 2 juvenile RES have not touched their cuttlebone. It's been in their tank since we got them about 2 weeks ago. I tried taking it out for a couple of days then putting it back in but still nothing. Any tricks?

Think I heard soaking it in tuna water can help, but I wouldn't count on it.

Cuttlebone eh? - Going to have to try this now. @Sneakysushine did you get yours on amazon by any chance if so, which one?

Buy cuttlebone for birds. It's much cheaper and it's the same stuff.
There's a hard backing that needs to be removed before you offer it to your turtle.

My turtles didn't eat it when they were young but they eat it now. I find it works better if you break it into small chunks. Here is the link on how to remove the backing....
