I think that's why I'm team veggie and salmon/tuna protein and pellets and fruit vs. feeder fish ever

It's been years since I used feeder fish, but wow do they love the hunt. It was another way they've surprised me.

They can, it's just that fruits (I know, bananas are technically vegetables...But they are really sweet) should be occasional treats only due to their high sugar content.

Hmm...I've never given Brixie any fruit before. I remember reading somewhere that fruit causes stool to be more liquid and is them harder to clean up and worse for the water. I'll try some fruit at some point - Banana and Apple bits probably. I'll avoid Oranges cause of the acid.
