"Natural fish food and color enhancing." There's also a picture of a res on the container, and the woman at the aquarium said it's appropriate. It's "natural feed and stock", "preserved by drying". I checked for any ingredients that would indicate chemicals, and I see nothing. And best of all: George loves it! I just fed her some, and she loved it. This will get her off daily salmon. And she's doing a good job of eating her veggies. She's an angel.

Anyone use this stuff? I guess I keep it in the fridge. It smells fishy.

As far as I know, shrimp of any kind is usually just a treat. Still better than dried gammarus, though.

Shrimp should only be given as an occasional treat! A high quality pellet and veggies should be your turtles main diet. I feed Omega One and Wheat germ Koi food. Can't remember the last time they got freeze dried shrimp but its ok as a treat. Do you also feed cuttlebone? If not,you should. You can also feed frozen krill as a treat.

She has both daily.

Yeah. She'll gnaw at it a little, but doesn't seem to like it very much. It's kinda plain. She's accustomed to delicacies like first tuna, then salmon, now she's enjoying these shrimp thingies (but readily eats lettuce and pellets, as well as carrot, occasional strawberry...). Always searching for new ideas to keep spoiling her with variety

I think it was a mistake to put the sanyu shrimp in the fridge. Kinda soggy now and when I tried to hand feed her some, she was confused and kept going for my salmon colored flesh, LOL. I left it out for the day. Hopefully it'll crunch back up. Good snack for her when it was crunchy and crispy.

Yes freeze dried food doesn't need refrigeration.
