Making up forgotten feeding times?

Over the past week, I've missed at least two feeding times because of projects and stuff like that. I feed them in the evening at least 8 pm because I'm that busy lately. I wonder if you have to make up every time you lose track of feeding time, or you just miss it. Do you have to make up every single lost time, even when you have to make it up the next morning? Currently I partially make up every missed one, like if you feed the turtle 3 pellets each time, then you add one pellet to the next time you feed the turtle.

I'm not sure what you mean by "making it up". Depending on the age of your turtle is how often you feed it, under a year your turtle should be fed daily. I don't really think it matters if you feed it in the morning one day and the evening the next. It's not like it's medication that is scheduled. You just feed them when you find the time. After a year old, you can feed your turtle every other day or 2. They won't starve if for some reason you skip a day and they miss a meal. In the wild they don't eat as well as our captive turtles do, so you need to keep that in mind. :)

I'd not add any food the next day if you've missed a day. Just give them the regular amount, although I'm sure an extra one now and then won't hurt. Just remember pellets are high in protein and you want to avoid a high protein diet.

I wouldn't worry about missing a feeding but making up for it not what you want to do.

Its probably better to feed them earlier in the day and I try to feed my turts at the same times, but that is not the easiest thing to do.

If I miss a feeding, I don't worry about it. My turtle is a fully-grown adult RES (big, heavy girl!) and honestly, she doesn't like to eat everyday anyways which is why I have started feeding her once every 2nd or 3rd day.

When I had younger turtles, I fed them once/daily, but if I missed a day inbetween, I let it go too.
