He seems to be very picky when it comes to vegetables. I've tried feeding romaine, and red lettuce to him in big pieces, and in tiny pieces. But, still nothing. How do you usually feed your RES lettuce?

I just float a piece in the tank. They eat it with no problems!

Same here. Though when they do get picky, a veggie clip works really well.

I tie all my leafy vegetable stuff to a stainless steel 1/4-20 bolt from the garage with a rubber band and then sink it into the river rock at the bottom of the tank. I think Thor feels more secure eating uner water.

I think the question here is how old is the turtle? If its an adult just toss it in the tank. You can also try carrots or red bell pepper.

George loves carrots. She hasn't had her veggies in a while. The buck stops here!
