Hey guys just thought I'd share with you how I feed my RES small minnows.

I buy 3 or 4 small minnows in a LARGE bowl on the kitchen counter where they can be seen several times a day. Every day I take out 3 or 4 cups (the same number as minnows) of water and put back the same amount from a faucet. This gives the water more oxygen. Throughout the day I'll also splash the water surface with my fingers. I think that also gives the water more oxygen. Also feed them some ground up flakes every 3 or 4 days. I feed Thor 1 minnow every other day or maybe every other two days if the minnows seem to be doing well. I've manged to keep the minnows alive for almost two weeks. If one dies, then feed it immediately, don't wait or it will begin to decay in that case don't feed it to your RES. The depreciation of them also leaves more oxygen in the water for the others.

When I feed one to Thor I get out some large hemostats grab the fish by the tail and dangle it in front of Thor's nose, then Thor does his part :)

Hope this helps someone...

Why not add a few hiding spots for them in your tank?
