I was wondering is feeding wild caught safe. Like wild caught guppies and shrimp, or how about wild caught crickets or grasshoppers?

Edit: I ask if feeding wild caught is safe, because apparently people say yes it is, no its no, or maybe. So I wan't to know what you guys think. I think it would be safe, but I got to stay on the safe side.

With crickets, grasshoppers or other terrestrial catches, you run the risk that they may have been exposed to pesticides and that they aren't exactly normal turtle fare.

With wild caught water critters, the pesticide risk should be lower. There is a chance of parasites. As long as you're wiling to watch for that and the vet visit it requires, as a treat, it's certainly better than crickets and more like what they would find in the wild. Others might disagree, but I'd be willing to try it.

That is understandable, well I definitely cannot use any form of insects from my neighborhood than due to the fact that people use herbicides, pesticides and all kinds of other junk everywhere. Though wild caught fish I can find from a good source, well better than my neighborhood lakes anyways.
