Feeding and Nutrition :: Picky eaters?

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

For the past month or so, I've been struggling to get my turtles to eat. I have a new can of ReptoMin which all three of them are turning their noses up at. Moxie will at least eat it eventually, but Napoleon and Apollo ignore it completely, even if it's the only food offered.

I've written to Tetra to find out if they've changed their formulation. But around the same time I started in on the new can, all three turtles got picky about food in general. I also offered dandelion greens around then, which all three refused.

Napoleon is the worst, he won't even nibble at anything other than sweet potato, superworms or tuna. He has refused greens, carrots, squash, pellets and berries, all things he used to eat regularly. I got so worried about him that I took him to the vet. They gave him a round of Baytril in case it was RI, but it's been four days since he finished that and he's still not eating much of anything. His tank temperature is 78.

Moxie is eating a bit more readily. He ate fresh carrots today (he refused matchstick carrots a few days ago) and nibbled at some baby romaine. I think he's getting enough to eat, but he's leaving more uneaten than he used to. His tank temperature has been 76, but I bumped it to 78 last night.

Both tanks got cleaned about two weeks ago, and again last night. The air temperature in the apartment is generally around 70.

Apollo has gone through picky phases before, but usually around the start of winter, not so much the beginning of spring! He eats superworms like a champ, but ignores most other things. I'm also seeing him trying to climb the walls of his enclosure, which is entirely new.

Has anyone gone through this? How did you deal with it? Are there other foods or brands of pellets you would recommend? It's just odd that all of them changed their behavior around the same time, and as far as I can tell nothing in their environment changed to cause it.

One of my RES is being picky about his veggies, but t's happened before. I figure it's a seasonal issue. I still leave some in his tank regardless if he eats it. I mix Reptomin with Koi pellets and Mazuri pellets, but they would eat them regardless.
