I notice on bottles turtle pellets it saids feed what they can eat within a 5 - 10 ish minute period but my turtle can basically swallow 20 of those pellets in one bite (hes has huge head) and others on this site say feed the size of their head (which I kinda feel its too little since the turtles look really hungry after and keep digging for food). I was wondering what works for you? And how frequent do you feed your turtles. Mine are 2 years old. I know its been re discussed in other forums but want a new fresh perspective
Thanks!

Well, we usually go by the headsize rule. Turtles don't need that much energy, since they're cold blooded. They are great food beggars too; we shouldn't give in. Overfeeding leads to illness later on.
I feed my largest turtle once a week with a little more than headsize pellets. This one is a little obese.
The other two get headsize pellets each three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday).
Note: what works for my turtles won't necessarily work for yours, but I mainly follow the headsize rule.
