I have a good reptile vitamin supplement I use for a uromastyx I have...its powdered and I just mix it with his food... I was wondering how I could also feed this to my res since its powdered?

uromastyx? Um not sure how they relate to RES but does your RES really need vitamin supplement? What is the supplement supposed to do?

They relate because they're reptiles. The supplement is just a general multi-vitamin for reptiles...I thought it could definitely benefit the res since he doesn't mess with cuttlebone and it has some calcium in it. I just don't know how to get him to consume any of the powder.

^^Ah I see. Sheldon also dislikes the cuttlebone. Should I be giving him something in place of it?

As far as powder goes, once it gets wet does it dissolve? Perhaps adding it to your water will help as your RES drinks what he swims in.

My turtle doesn't like cuttlebone either. I use calcium supplement in his jello shots, and provide a well balanced diet with lots of veggies. What else is in the supplement you give to the uromastyx?

What kind of supplement? I think I need to get Sheldon something to replace the cuttlebone.

Ha, my turtle is named Sheldon as well. I used rep-cal phosphorus free. The phosphorus free is the important part, as you don't want their phosphorus intake to exceed the calcium intake. You can also just crush cuttlebone up really fine and ad that.

LOL great minds think alike. So I should make jello shots and get some of that rep-cal or crush up my left over cuttlebone. Gotcha. I really appreciate the help. :)

How do you make your jello shots specifically?
