Are these turtle pellets all they are cracked up to be? Based on ingredients doesn't seem to be much nutritional value.

They're considered to be reputable and probably the easiest to find. They are other good brands but are hard to locate or order.

I feed them to my turtle and he's really healthy. I like the brand.

I stopped feeding these because my turtles wouldn't eat them right away and they caused my water to turn a hint of Green. I have tried other brands but my girls seem to like the Wardley the best.

Honestly, my turtle prefers "Omega One," flakes over the Reptomin Pellets.

It's made from: whole salmon, whole herring, black codd, halibut, whole shrimp & then various wheat products.

Reptomin ingredients: fish meal, wheat starch, dried yeast, corn flour, shrimp meal & various other unknowns.

Im thinking this will be his last can of Reptomin pellets.

I just found "Omega One" turtle pellets @ Petsmart. It's about $10 per can. Im really happy about this since my fish also love the flakes.

Since Hammerstix posted the ingredients thought I'd post the Wardley I get from Petco. I wish they liked another type since I normally shop at Petsmart, I've even tried Zoomed's but they don't care for them either.

Wardley: White fish meal, wheat flour, soybean meal, shrimp meal, brewers dried yeast, dehydrated alfalfa, gluten, fish oil, lecithin, insect larvae, algae, blood worms, supplemented vitamin C, ethoxyquin (as a preservative).

Do they leave a lot of crumbs? That's my primary problem with Reptomin.

Steve...are you asking about Reptomin or Wardley, or Omega One?

I can't say about the crumbs anymore with the Wardley because the pieces are smaller than my turtles mouth. So they eat them in one bite now. I do know the reason I stopped using the Reptomin was because even if they got the whole piece in their mouth it would leave green "crumbs" coming from their mouth (kinda looked like green smoke).

Ah the Omega one were mentioned as flakes, so assumed he meant the Wardley pellets since well flakes um flake :). But it looks like they are sticks.

I just pick one of those cans up, I'm gonna mix match my turtles pellets I have used Reptomin since I got my first red ear slider. I feed mainly greens but give three pellets every day

Thanks guys for the info. I was asking about the Omega One. I've noticed that some RES are just messier when it comes to eating too. My female RES leaves a lot more Reptomin crumbs than my male RES, though the Koi pellets seem to hold together better.
