Adjusting Feeding Schedule (to make me happier... hahaha)

Don't know if this is already answered on the site, but I've adjusted my turtles to being fed every other day. They get romaine and red leaf lettuce every day.

What would be wrong with feeding them every day (once a day) half the amount I give them on the every other day?
I don't like them to gorge every other day, but when I feed pellets they do. If I feed half the amount every day, would that solve two problems?
Keeping them from gorging and allowing me the comfort of feeding once daily?

If anyone wants to chime in on how often they feed the pellets that would be helpful. Oh, and how much do you feed? I give two level teaspoons every other day currently because that's what the bottle says I should feed (although it says twice daily).

I don't see the problem with doing that, aslong as they get the same amount daily as they would every other day.

I try to use a little amount of pellets everyday. The amount is probably a little less than a level teaspoon per day, depending on their size.

How big are your turtles?

The largest is 5" SCL and the smaller one is about 4.25. I did read the feeding thread and some people are feeding less every day, but I'd like to do what's best for them.
They do seem happier in the larger tank, but having made the overfeeding mistake already, I want to be careful.

Sounds like you're doing well. Perhaps just use that amount 6 days a week? Keep in mind some pellets contain more protein, so that might affect the amount you use.
