If I understand correctly, your concern is feeding and that the RES eat it all.
I would recommend separating them. My understanding is that it is not a good idea to keep RES with Tent Turtles since they are two distinct species with different needs.

There are several variants of the Indian Tent Turtle. I'm not sure if it makes a difference. From what I have read, they are vegetarians and basically eat green colored plants like grass, and other leafy green stuff. Still, I can not give a certain answer because in the US they are considered "exotic" among typical US "exotic pets." In other words, they are very special here. I wish I had a better answer.

BTW - if they are like any other species, 2 or 3 days without eating should be OK. Of course, you will want to get them to start eating soon. I think separating them for the RES may make a difference.

Not associated with your question, can you post a picture? I would love to see them!!!

You can also email it to me redearslider@gmail.com or use an image hosting service like imgur.com

I would keep them separate from your RES as they are pretty aggressive.

It is a known fact that this particular species has very little written about it on the Web.

You may need to start looking at books, or search on the Internet by its scientific name:
Pangshura tentoria circumdata (Indian Circled Tent Turtle).

I found a database that offers some links at the bottom of the page (I didn't check them to see what information they had, though)
http://reptile-database.reptarium.cz/sp ... s=tentoria

Let me know if you learn more, even if you want to send a PM - I am very interested in learning about this gorgeous species!
It costs $500 or more to get one in the US - and you still have to worry if they arrived legally, with all the proper paperwork in order.
Since I can not afford one, and will not buy an illegal one I will have to learn through you :)

U r right, i tried scientific name although it was not sufficient.
but ur link posted got me some decent inf. about Tent & their origin.

In Mumbai breeding is done illegally for Tent's & other exotic species(eg. Star tortoise)
Here price are in hundreds for Tent's and for Star tortoise 1600 inr for a couple.
everything here is illegal. Specially crawford market in mumbai, here every rare(animals, things, etc) or branded things r sold illegally.
link for inf. about crawford market
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crawford_Market
Although i've not purchased for crawford market, but it is very famous.

& also chor bazaar which in English means thief (chor) market (bazaar)
Here every possible other thing is sold illegally
for example automobiles,animals, electronics,cracks,clothes(branded).
for eg. a adidas sneakers is for 2500 inr. in showroom at chor bazaar it is available for just 700 inr.

Instead i should learn through you
