Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

Here's the situation in a nutshell. I had a baby slider (less than 1 yr old) escape two months ago. While pulling weeds, I found him in a hibernating-like state. I put him in water and revived him. He is back to normal except HE WON"T EAT! I have tried pellets and live bugs to no avail. It's been almost a week since I found him, and I haven't seen him eat anything. However, he may be nibbling on my water lettuce when I'm not around. He was eating pellets before he escaped. Any advice?

I'd try some live prey, even if you have to hold it for him to eat. Is he active now?

Yes, he's active swimming around and basking. I'm getting some baby crickets for my box turtles tomorrow and I'll try a few with him too. He has resisted centipedes, worms, and the freeze dried river shrimp and meal worms so far. :(

Try some small minnows and let the wiggle while you hold them by the tail.
