Feeding and Nutrition :: Rosie Minnows? Bad Idea?

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

I went to a local owned aquarium store to buy a feeder guppy or two, but they didn't have any. So I bought about 4 rosie minnows and put them in my little goldfish tank debating on whether or not to put them in the tank with my turtle, Red. They weren't in there for maybe 10 minutes or less and one of my goldfish that I've had for awhile died. What do you guys allow to swim in your tank with your turtles? I think Red needs a little exercise and a little action in his tank. What is best?

Thanks for the help :)

i put about 20 of them in my tank about 2 weeks ago, it seems to be working out pretty good. They are a lot harder for her to catch so they are lasting longer, shes down to 6 left now, but she hasnt caught any of them in at least 5 days now. I think she might have given up on them, or shes just waiting until they let their guard down. I think having live fish in the tank deffinitely improves her quality of life, makes her feel like a predator again.
