Feeding and Nutrition :: Milton won't eat...please help!

So Milton has been living in his new home for about 24 hours. I have read many times that RES in a new environment may not eat right away, but how long should I wait before I start worrying? The pet store employee gave me 6 guppies and told me to put them in the tank last evening, so I put them in last night (8/14) around 9 pm. He has yet to eat one and actually seems disinterested, as he doesn't even try to go after them. Just now, I decided to put a 6 pellets in his tank, and he seems disinterested in those too. One pellet was floating around and literally hit him in the head, and he ignored it. Any suggestions? Tips? Am I overreacting?

It does take most turtles a while to get used to their new homes. Be patient and try different foods. They can go a long time without eating. How big is Milton?

MIlton is about 6 inches. I don't know the official measurements, but I hope he starts eating soon. It is my first pet, so I am a little nervous. Thanks for the help!

It does take a little time. Try not to disturb him too much and do as LoA said.
