Mazuri freshwater turtle food

Hi guys - I haven't posted here in a LONG time but today I've come here in a panic. It's time to re-order my Mazuri pellets and I found a local store that will order them for me. Well, I decided to check out the Mazuri website just to make sure I had the proper name for the freshwater turtle food... and low and behold I find out that Mazuri is owned by PURINA! All I know about Purina is that their dog and cat food is nothing but pure garbage, so I can only assume the same is true for their turtle food. I don't want to feed Toby garbage food! I looked at the ingredients for the Mazuri pellets and the first ingredient is ground corn  Reptomin has fish meal as the first ingredient which I don't think is much better but must be better than ground corn.

So now I'm just super confused about what is really good turtle food and what isn't... and does a good quality turtle pellet really exist? I know a lot about dog food but very little about turtle food, except for what I've read on this forum in the past. Someone please tell me if it is worth it to buy more Mazuri or not. :?

I don't know how long Purina has owned them, but by looking at the contents, they have changed very little since 2006 (from a PDF). If you were previously satisfied with them, I'd stick with them. 90% of the time I use Reptomin, and I think they would serve as a good alternative.

I use Mazuri and reptomin and just about every turtle breeder that i know uses mazuri with reptomin also. ID never change from using mazuri. I personally think my turtles have nicer growth with mazuri then with any other turtle food ive used.
