Can turtles eat less frequently?

I have to go out of state for 2 months, and my neighbor will be coming over to feed my 5 year old female, Rock. I generally feed her pellets daily (although just read should do every other day) and vegetables a couple times a week.

Can she eat less frequently - say twice a week - giving more pellets? I don't want to harm her, but if can minimize my neighbor in and out of the house, it would be great!

Has anyone had success with those turtle feeders?

Thanks! I'm a little stressed out about this!

They're reptiles...they can go a long time without eating.

She would definetly survive on twice a week, but I don't know if she'll enjoy it. What's the temperature in the tank.

Yes, she'll be fine eating 2x a week. I go away every year and my dad stops by to feed Tomi ~2x a week. Your neighbor can drop some extra lettuce when he/she stops by. Just remember to tell them to remove any uneaten food when they come back. You don't want your water to get all nasty.

I don't trust automatic feeders.... I trust my dad a little more. Oh.... I also leave some feeder fish in there. This way if Tomi gets really hungry, he'll eat them!

Just make sure the temp. is right around 70. If the temp. is higher her metabolism will be much higher.
