Feeding once or twice a day?

So I'm feeding just once a day in the morning with a snack every so often when I get home from work. (for the turtle not me!) He gobbled up a nightcrawler tonight! It was awesome. I felt like I was at a big fight or something cheering Tucker on to victory! hahaha! I give him Pellets every other day, (about 6 or 7 reptomin) and vegetables along with them every day all in the morning. He doesn't eat them, but hopefully he'll start. What I'm wondering is should I be feeding him twice daily? Or is just the one time good? Tucker is 4.5 inches long. Thanks!

You should stick to a certain schedule with a certain amount. You can feed half the amount twice a day if you wish. Just take care to not over do pellets and live prey (protein and fat). Lettuce is good even a little bit extra for a treat if you just want some interaction.

Keep to feeding pellets every other day. Veggies everyday. Try different kinds. My turtle loves red leaf lettuce. Skip a pellet day or two in a row and just put veggies in. When he gets hungry enough he'll try them. Most turtles love anacharis. See if your local pet store has some.

Ok thanks! I put some kale and green leaf lettuce in there this morning. Hopefully he'll eat some. I like that idea of splitting what I'm giving him on pellet days. I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks!

You can skip kale and use a veggie clip for the lettuce.
