Is it possible to feed to much vegetables?

This is in reference to the turtles in my signature.

I have read that it is advisable to constantly have plants for the turtles to eat in the tank. When I drop romaine lettuce in my tanks the turtles eat the whole leaf in less than 30 min. I would have to keep a head of lettuce in the tank every day too keep up with them. I guess my general question is: Can you really overfeed with leafy greens (aquatic plants, lettuce)?

This is in addition to my feeding of Tetra Reptomin pellets 3-2 times a week.

Thanks!

Yes. There is no set formula for feeding veggies, though you should pay some attention to the consistency of your turtle's stool. Some RES would eat non-stop until they vomit... you obviously don't want that to happen. Don't forget to offer a variety of veggies too.

In regards to the stool consistency: what's good and what's bad?

It should generally be firm and solid.
