I got the suggested (not here i dont think) rosy red minnows (11 to be exact) but if he sees one he runs away. There huddled in one corner and he ignores all but one who cant swim well. Any ideas whats going on?

could be too small to eat them or he just doesnt want to eat them. its not a biog deal

IDK there pretty small. I think he could fit one in his mouth. Im worried cause he doesnt like the pellets very much. And i dont know what else to feed him. >.<

what you do to get him interested is take a fish with a little net, grab it by the tail and dangle it in front on the turt. itll assume its food and eat it.
if that doesnt work, his instinct will eventually tell him it is food as he get older.

P.s hes 3 weeks old

If your turtle is truly 3 weeks old, he may still be receving nutrients from his eggs sac (even though it's disappeared) and may not be interested in food. At three weeks, I think he's too young for fish. He would be more interested in insects or pieces of earthworm.

Thanks. As long as he is getting nutrients. And i noticed one fish missing today but i assume it is either hiding or floating under his dock.

yeah 3 weeks old pretty much makes me assume he isnt going to eat much other than a mealworm or maybe pellets

He will soon go after them but I wish my RES wouldn't eat his fish having fish and a turtle is really cool in one tank.

Thx guys he figured out the fish are food. Although he cant catch them lol! Its very funny to watch him try though!

I love watching my RES go after his fish I never see him go so fast unless he's chasing one of them.

Well today i put in an elderly male, and he almost got it! However when he bit it he missed the head >.< but i could tell the fish was scared!
