Okay, so tomorrow is my time to go shopping for my little turt, but I need help. I'm still kind of puzzled as to what his diet should consist of.

so here's some questions -

do i need to get

algae wafers :?: are they good for the turtle :?: or are they even meant for turtles at all :?:
Cuttlebone :?: I need that right :?:
Canned bloodworms :?: My turtle is only a baby, so will he eat these? or are they even good for him :?:
Veggies :?: What kind of veggies :?:

Any help would be greatly appreciated :!:

I want to start him on the proper diet and have no problems with his shell.

Thank you so much in advance

I don't know if the algae wafers are good for your turtle. Hopefully someone will answer that for you.
Cuttle bone is good for your turtle buy then one in the bird section it's allot more cheaper then the zoomed turtle bone.
Canned bloodworms are good to also wax worms and meal worms. You can also buy the blood worms frozen.
There is allot of vegetables you can buy your turtle, you can start out with romaine, green leaf, and red leaf lettuce. carrots, and mustard leaves.
You can check out the post about the food you can feed your turtle it has allot of information about that.

They can eat algae wafers, but don't need too. How about Can O' Crickets (Mini Size)?

No algae wafers, they won't immediatly harm your turtle, but they do not have the right balance of nutrients to keep him healthy. On the main site, there is a very comprehensive list of what is good and bad for turtles. Read, and ye shall learn. The only thing I can add to the main site's list is HBH pellets, I believe they are better than reptomin.

uh oh, I got can o' worms. Is that bad? Should I not feed them to my baby turtle? I bought can o' crickets too. And blueberries and carrots. He absolutely loved the blueberries, but he would only eat them if I took off the skin ha. I bought some cuttlebone too.. And I already have reptomin pellets of course. Any good? Feedback would be lovely?

Can 'O Worms as in mealworms? If so, turtles love them, but they really don't have any meaningful nutrition and they have a very poor calcium/phosphorus ratio, which is what you don't really want to give on a regular basis to a young turtle (Calcium is especially important in the diet for his growing shell.) I'd only give a small amount infrequently if I did give them. They probably won't last that long in the fridge before they get really stinky and have to be thrown out.

Don't forget to take the backing off your cuttlebone before putting it in your little guys tank. This thread shows you how to do it.
