I was wondering what else i can feed him. The Live plants are going to become expensive when he gets older. But what kinda leafy greens will her eat. hes like 3 inches long. I put some kale in there but all he does is hold onto it and float around.

Red Leaf Lettuce is pretty cheap around me, about $1 - 1.50 and will easily last a week for two RES. Try using a veggie clip, it'll hold the veggies in one spot for you.

None of my turtles has ever really liked kale. Try something that's more tender---young dandelion greens or red or green leaf lettuce or romaine (no iceberg).
