I handfeed any worms/bugs, etc for that reason. Watch your fingers though

if you're concerned about your fingers, try using forceps. just make sure your turtle doesn't bite them, and i'd avoid using the hooked kind.

Try some pieces of earthworm. The movement is usually attractive to turtles.

You could even prob just let it lay on the bottom. the movement will catch the turtles attention sooner or later and worms can survive in water pretty long. When I feed my turtles stuff that sink like grapes, I just cut them up, throw them in, and 30 seconds later my turtles see it just laying there and go at it.

No, I don't mean dangling the worm above the head, I mean put the pieces in the water and let them go after them.

chopsticks, if you're not proficient you could use a rubber band to keep them together

depending how big your turtle is if it bites down on the chopstick you'll have to play a little tug of war, but they always let go at some point if you dont panic and drop it first
