When I purchased my RES from a local pet store, the sales woman said that they only needed pellets and that they will be fine there after.

my RES are just now reaching about 2inches in length and growing like tumbleweeds, what would anyone suggest???

Well you never really cut them off but around 3inches is around when you feed pellets only 2-3times a week and rest of the week should be vegies
