Went shopping today. Looking for other items to feed Mikey besides pellets and lettuce. We bought carrots and celery today. I read that carrots are good but do I shred it or just chop a chunk off? He is about 5.5". Can turtles have celery?

I'd skip the celery (not that much nutrition). I use a peeler to make long thin carrot peels for my RES to eat.

Do some reading in the Nutrition section for ideas on what other foods are good.

For the carrot, try both. I think it depends on the turtle.

For the celery, I say skip it. It's in the not recommended list.
